Former comedian John Stewart did a great interview with renowned economist and former treasury secretary, former director of the National Economic Council, and President Emeritus of Harvard University, Larry Summers.
Suspend for a moment how Larry used to hang out on Jeffrey Epstein’s “treasure” island. We do not want to come across as “small” people who attack people on their character but focus on the policies they promote.
Let’s just enjoy watching Larry nervously squirm in his seat, getting grilled on the laissez-faire market mechanism deployed by economists now desperately needing constant correction.
As long as we base the theory of humanity on regurgitating our broken past, we will not systemically improve human adaptability to nature’s entropy. Economics is a sham, a consistent confounding of consequence and cause, in the words of Nietzsche, leading to grave depravity of reason.
Today, we have fools for leaders who depend on the “wisdom” of people like Larry Summers, causing the American people to be held hostage by popularized depravity of reason. Kudos to John Stewart for pointing that out.
