President Joe Biden’s State of The Union, like all State of the Unions, was filled with the depravity of reason stemming from a systematic confounding of cause and consequence, as poignantly pointed out by Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900). Our normalization of truth is outdated and false, causing an anthropogenic cascade.
Without a theory that determines what can be discovered, in the words of Albert Einstein (1879-1955), any President is relegated to merely avoiding the undesirable consequences of a cause left undefined. The rulebook of the U.S. Constitution does not infer a theory of the gameplay you wish to see. Nor do reams of legislation filling up the rotunda in the Capitol Building infer a theory clarifying what America’s goals are.
I comment on the major sections in Joe Biden’s State of the Union not to make a political point but to demonstrate how the constructs we have conjured up are not only failing but drowning in downstream complexity from a human theory left undefined.
We must inspire the world with new rigors of excellence we first and successfully apply to ourselves. Today, our regenerative excellence, protected only by an enormous Neanderthal stick of military power, leaves much to be desired.
