Professor of Biochemistry, Isaac Asimov, notes how the effort of thinking is pertinent in improving the efficacy of democracy. Democracy has already lost its value when the votes of people who do not bother to think drown out the vote of the fewer people that do.
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been.
The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”
Isaac Asimov
Without suggesting what to think, it is important to comprehend how to think. A process preordained and validated by nature. Let me explain.
We must learn to pay attention to nature, to discover and prove new and higher normalizations of nature’s truth. Human excellence is stalling and perpetuating an anthropogenic cascade, married to ancient past and outrageous future beliefs, stuck in the solipsism of me, me, me for me.
To date, one hundred years after Einstein’s discovery of general relativity, none of the systems that manage human performance are systems of relativity. The arbitrage of human expansion is held hostage by systems at least one dimension short of human capacity.
What could possibly go wrong?
Let us help build systems of relativity for humanity.
