Mapping New York City

The New Amsterdam History Center published a nifty web-based overlay to encourage exploration of the Dutch history of New Amsterdam all the way back to 1626 as it laid the foundational character for today’s New York City, with special reference to its ethnic, racial, and religious diversity, urban landscapes, economic vitality, and global legacy.

Now, all we need is to reintroduce the Dutch to build dykes around NYC to stave off one of the effects of entropy, climate change. In full disclosure of nepotism; I was born in The Netherlands and remain Dutch when proven valuable.
