We will have to adhere to a new economic system because our current economic systems yield grave depravity of reason stemming from confounding of consequence and cause (Nietzsche). Our current systems are stale monisms of absolutism wholly incompatible with the dynamic relativity of humanity that encircles the world.
AI relies on data, which is a derivative of hindsight. We will not be able to change the norm of human ingenuity and discovery with an extrapolation of hindsight. And thus, the real progress of human evolution to break the norm will only come from human foresight, the tedious downstream sub-optimization of the existing norm can be picked up by AI if it only were to understand the meaning of why we do the things we do.
Just witness the performance of Siri on the iPhone, with what the founders of Siri hailed as AI. Before AI can drive meaning, it must first understand humanity, linguistically, motivationally let alone intensionality (I think what you think what I think what you think). And apart from machines, I can point to vast amounts of people who do not understand humanity, let alone be responsible for programming AI to yield a meaningful interpretation of human intelligence. There is a good reason why AI is called artificial intelligence; it is artificial knowledge at best. The real intelligence of understanding how to deal with unprescribed situations this is not.
AI is worse than in the words of Fawlty Towers’ John Cleese; “most people do not know what they are talking about,” and the fools who give AI too much credit must be feared the most.
