Letters To A Young Contrarian: Calling All Entrepreneurs To Read This Book

I only discovered the posthumous presence of Christopher Hitchens about two years ago on YouTube and quickly became an admirer of his wit, humor, and curiosity that so poignantly highlights the scope of manmade mediocrity while delivering a clear exculpation not all of us have to be or are. Beyond that, Christopher’s writing is an inspiring work of art that exalts the profession of a great writer: to write to be understood. A challenge when trying to convey complex and invariably uncomfortable matters of foregone manmade foolery.

I have referenced his expressions on occasion in my blogs, mostly about the cheap karma surrounding the manmade injunctions of theology. His book “Letters to a young contrarian” is the first book I have read in over 30 years. A must-read for any budding entrepreneur finding him or herself arriving at a new and higher normalization of truth inevitably “lonely at the top.”

I recommend reading this book to every person wanting to change the world (and I make no money shamelessly referring to it). Because reading it will make you understand the daunting challenges and incredible sacrifices others have made, and you are about to make to serve a purpose bigger than the mere vile-maxim of your debauchery and consumerism.

The sign of an intelligent nation is its willingness and ability to reinvent itself, upstream. Let’s inspire the world with new rigors of excellence we first and successfully apply to ourselves.
