Why Is The Protection Of The Environment More Important Than Economic Growth?

For the simple reason that the state of our environment determines how long we as a species get to enjoy it. For we are dependent on our environment to renew ourselves. The strength of our renewal is paramount to the length of our species on earth.

Economic growth, the way we generally interpret growth, is incompatible with nature’s evolution, for the blind and selfish pursuit of wealth does not build a regenerative meritocracy needed to spawn the strength of human renewal.

“Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of a cancer cell.” — Edward Abbey

The pursuit of endless economic growth, incompatible with nature’s rule, breeds human evolutionary weakness instead.

We must build new operating-systems for humanity to align better with nature we depend on for survival.

The sign of an intelligent nation is its willingness and ability to reinvent itself, upstream. Let’s inspire the world with new rigors of excellence we first and successfully apply to ourselves.
