China Is Said To Have Growth Of 7 Percent At The End Of 2017. What Are Your Thoughts?

Growth without renewal is destructive to the development of a society of any size, as growth for growth’s sake is the ideology of a cancer cell.

Only the renewal of resources (including human resources) can contribute to a country’s sustainability. So, what we currently use as the popular metrics of economic wherewithal are flat-out antiquated, we should instead measure societies based on new evolutionary criteria.

Given that China’s vast population is impoverished, its lack of social mobility severe, and the gains of China’s growth mostly benefitting its government means China has a much bigger problem than the United States, not just in the gigantic gap paling in comparison to the U.S. between the haves and have-nots.

Mainly because real freedom of China’s people remains severely restricted, making it difficult for the country to transition from an enslaved manufacturing society to an innovation society that relies on dissident outliers to break the rules. Prospective outliers curtailed by the very government restrictions imposed upon those who rear their non-compliant heads.

But a medal winner on the leaderboard of economics with spending power is bound to earn the envy of the world, for all the wrong reasons.

The sign of an intelligent nation is its willingness and ability to reinvent itself, upstream. Let’s inspire the world with new rigors of excellence we first and successfully apply to ourselves.
