Do Economics Courses Play A Vital Role In Student Intellectual Growth?

Au contraire, is my rebuttal to this self-serving article by The Daily Texan, the teachings of economics dumbs students down to a stubborn religion of make-believe, proven fallible at every turn:

Economics is a voodoo science because it systematically confounds consequence and cause, and thus yields preprogrammed depravity of reason. We can and must do better to guide humanity in a new direction, away from the hollow and unsubstantiated promises of economics.
