No, equality is a fantasy of unnatural proportion.
We are all very different in looks, behavior, likes and dislikes, freedom, and desires. We realize when we start dating people how exactly those fundamental differences make few of us compatible with living with each other and rather make us unhappy and tear us apart.
While the vast majority of our DNA is the same, the unique sequencing of a very small part of our DNA is what makes us all so fundamentally different. And, it is exactly those differences that determine the outcome of natural selection we (still) rely on for the evolution of our species.
Hence, the systems we build that promulgate the demand for our stifling commonalities are, therefore, fundamentally incompatible with how nature values our differences — the very reason why we must reinvent the operating systems of humanity.
