I enjoy that question, for it means you may have the wherewithal to do something with your life, other than to look good and survive.
Here in the United States, we are inundated with consumerism.
Look at our malls, as the opulent pacifier to the enslavement of a rat-races for wealth. A rat-race with detrimental long-term consequences for human evolution, as our minds have surrendered to our stifling oligarchic monisms of freedom, quite the opposite to the yearning for the freedom of dissent at the expanding fringe of human ingenuity and excellence.
And therein lies my answer. To become a producer, one must realize how little we know about the world and universe around us and have a yearning to discover more of the unknown. That most of what we make ourselves believe is inaccurate or untrue, and that every individual on earth has an opportunity to reinvent the way we operate to prolong the longevity of our species.
Put differently; stop shopping and start reinventing, by giving more of yourself than you take from society.
