We can, of course. But it requires we look at freedom fundamentally differently.
For the freedom to do what one wants must then be paired with the paradox of freedom to secure collective interests. Today, we have all-or-nothing absolutisms of freedoms, a pretense of freedom deployed void of its much-needed paradox or, in other places in the world, the opposite with tightly scripted freedoms—both quite the opposite of freedom for all and severely debilitating in societal and evolutionary consequences.
Hence my plight to reinvent the operating systems of humanity to – for the first time – make manmade systems adhere to the same principles as the ones evolution deploys. With our freedom instead deployed as an innate relativity theory, to help us save us from ourselves.
