The most common mistake is that the majority of Silicon Valley investors deploy (micro) private-equity risk-profiles to innovation, foolishly expecting venture-capital style returns.

A highly improbable scenario (I explain in The State of Venture Capital) that deflates the definition and expectation of what it means to innovate, and attracts a debilitating smoke-screen of the wrong type of entrepreneurs to boot.
