The eurozone is on the wrong side of evolution. Instead of a higher degree of plurality and respect for diversity, we have deployed a forced commoditization of our differences in Europe. A reason why I am for Brexit, and for any other exit back towards the preservation of the beauty and value of the differences in Europe I left behind twenty years ago.
How Europeans react is like the Stockholm syndrome infers, as lame-ducks. The Netherlands, Ireland, and France voted against the constitution of the Eurozone, and now Britain has. It is time for Europe’s government to pay attention to who they represent. A modern and diverse population increasingly tired of being held hostage by outdated governance that attempts to make them all the same.
