Yes, it can and will. But not with our current monism of economics that promotes a vile-maxim of wealth over evolutionary sustainability. Economics must be reinvented to provide meaningful value to human evolution.
We are all citizens of the world, and in this “boat” together. If we do not reinvent economics to manage our innate plurality, we will not succeed in reversing the anthropogenic demise that, as the most intelligent animal on earth, will make us live the shortest.
