Free-market capitalism has failed by us failing to redefine the definition, principles, and paradoxical rules of freedom such a free-market proclamation must be subjugated. Hence today’s free-markets are quite the opposite of free, and instead perpetuate a vile-maxim of self-interests, in systemic ignorance to the evolutionary needs of humanity — the source of our impending anthropogenic demise.
Animals are freer than we are, because they abide only by the principles instilled by nature, and therefore they live longer in a continually evolving equilibrium with nature. We, on the other hand, use our intelligence to change the course of nature, as if to foolishly assume we can elevate ourselves above nature. We ignore the need to strengthen the evolution of humanity and systemically weaken our equilibrium with nature — a double entendre of evolutionary atrophy. We deploy systems of human interaction that violate the most fundamental principles of freedom, which hampers our ability to develop our meaningful evolutionary differences, reduces our renewability and as a result, reduces our sustainability.
As the most intelligent major species on earth we will, we are poised to live the shortest. It is time we redefine what human freedom means against the backdrop of our evolution. That is if you care about more than just yourself.
