The morality underlying our current (yes, arcane) version of economics is a systematic denial of freedom.
Real freedom is not what we deploy or stimulate today. Instead, we sell our oligarchic monism of freedom, boosted by our power, to the weak or innocent around the world. A snake-oil recipe of flat-world globalization that falsely yields an appreciation of the value of our commonalities is more important than the value of our differences, and thus narrows the standard deviation of a meritocracy so pertinent to the renewable value needed to build a stronger evolution of humanity.
None of us should expect to reap the benefits of real freedom when the systems designed, manipulated and deployed by our economics of today violate even the most rudimentary principles of freedom.
We must reinvent economics around a better normalization of freedom.
